Sechelt Citizens on Patrol Society
Sechelt Citizens on Patrol Society is a volunteer-led community organization dedicated to enhancing safety and preventing crime in Sechelt.
Our Constitution:
Purpose(s) of the society:
I. To promote safety and crime deterrence in the Sechelt community through a volunteer-based approach that works in partnership with, but not exclusively for, the Sechelt RCMP Detachment.
II. To help prevent crime by patrolling and being visible in at-risk locations both during the day and at night, enhancing safety through a community presence.
III. To foster and enhance the community’s sense of security and well-being by providing a visible deterrence against criminal activity, and empowering citizens to take part in keeping their neighborhoods safe.
IV. To collaborate with the RCMP and other local agencies for various crime prevention and community safety programs, while retaining the society’s autonomy and commitment to broader community-based initiatives beyond solely supporting law enforcement.
